After watching President Trump, his family, and his closest associates having to sit hostage as a radical priest in an Episcopal church railed on his efforts to control illegal immigration, one has to wonder where were the Trump advance people.
This is the second time in the last few months that Trump‘s team has let him down in failing to do their homework.
The earlier scenario involved the approval of a sharp-tongued comedian to speak at Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally just days before the election. The comedian gained a great part of his fame through nasty, sarcastic roasts. He was a total time bomb ready to go off, and go off he did when he called Puerto Rico a floating island of garbage. Why would Trump’s advance people allow such a loose cannon to speak at this event and step on the candidate’s message?
As for the church service, the advance team could’ve picked one of dozens of churches in the area to host the ceremony. Yet, they picked the one with a pastor who has a known past of engaging in radical leftist policies and rhetoric. Why would you set your boss up for this type of humiliation?
Trump has a lot of seasoned pros being slated to run various departments, but these types of rookie mistakes for his advance team have to come to an end.
