Five fire departments responded to a house fire that occurred in Woodmere.
Nassau County officers responded to a house fire on Amherst Drive on September 16 at 5:35 p.m. The Inwood, Hewlett, Lawrence-Cedarhurst, Valley Stream and Lynbrook Fire Departments all responded to the scene and extinguished the fire. The Nassau County Fire Marshal and Arson Bomb Squad also responded. A fireman suffered from smoke inhalation and was transported to a local area hospital.
No further injuries were reported.
Nassau County police is asking the public for any information they can provide on this incident.
