Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a bicyclist in Brentwood.
Cesar Guevara, 32, of Brentwood, was riding a bicycle westbound on Suffolk Avenue, when he was struck by a 1998 Lincoln Town Car traveling southbound on Wicks Road, on February 1 at approximately 9:55 p.m. He was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment of serious injuries.
The driver of the Lincoln, Melvin Lazo, 53, of Brentwood, was not injured. His car was impounded for a safety check.
