A woman is in critical condition after being hit by a pickup truck in Freeport.
According to Nassau County detectives, on September 30 at 3:25 p.m., a 54-year-old female pedestrian was struck on Mill Road at the intersection of Buffalo Street by a 2005 Dodge Ram pick-up truck, operated by a 82-year-old male.
As a result of the collision, the unidentified woman suffered serious injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. She is currently listed in critical condition.
The driver remained at the scene.
No further injuries were reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
