Two Teens Arrested for Robbery

Two teenagers were arrested for allegedly robbing a store in Bethapge. One of them allegedly pulled a knife on an employee who tried to stop them.

On August 15 at 1:30 p.m., two male juveniles, ages 14 and 15, entered the 7-Eleven located at 497 Stewart Avenue, allegedly took various items from the store and left without paying. They were approached outside by a 50-year-old male employee. The 15-year-old allegedly displayed a knife and made threats to the victim. Both juveniles then fled towards the nearby train tracks. After a thorough investigation, officers located the defendants and placed them into custody without incident.

Police charged the 15-year-old with Robbery in the First Degree, Menacing in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree and Criminal Trespass in the Third Degree. The 14-year-old was charged with Robbery in the First Degree and Criminal Trespass in the Third Degree. They will be arraigned at Nassau County Family Court.
