On April 11, during the “Our Liberty & Justice for All Celebration” held at the Garden City Hotel, Brookhaven Town Supervisor Daniel J. Panico was honored as the Touro Law Center’s “Elected Official of the Year.” The event was attended by a distinguished group of alumni, faculty, administrators, and friends of Touro Law Center, celebrating this year’s honorees.

Panico is a graduate of Touro Law Center. His legal career includes serving as a Senior Deputy Suffolk County Clerk, where he managed a significant volume of litigation for Supreme and County Courts.

His leadership has been recognized on multiple occasions, including being named a rising star at the Long Island Business News “40 under 40” Annual Awards Gala and receiving a nomination for Stony Brook University’s “40 under 40 Award.”

In addition to his legal and political achievements, Panico has also been honored with the Distinguished Alumni Award from the William Floyd School District and recognized by the New York State Grand Lodge Foundation, Order of the Ancient Sons and Daughters of Italy in America.

Panico is a native of Mastic Beach and a graduate of William Floyd High School. He holds a double major Bachelor’s degree in history and political science from Stony Brook University.
