
Nassau County police are looking for a man who allegedly tried to burglarize a Roosevelt residence.
On July 30 at 3:45 a.m., First Precinct police responded to a St Francis Street residence for a suspicious person. Upon arrival, a 24-year-old female resident stated that, while in a spare second-floor bedroom, she observed an unknown male standing on the roof leaning into an open window. The victim then ran back to her bedroom and called police for help. After an investigation, it was later discovered that an unknown black tool bag had been left behind in the spare bedroom.
There was nothing taken from the home.
The subject is described as being male, possibly Hispanic, 5’9” tall, 25 to 35 years of age, with a mustache or goatee, and an athletic build. He was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt, blue sweatpants, a gray baseball cap with a Puma logo, and a black backpack.
