Getting a flight these days can be a disaster. Canceled flights. Delays. High costs. It shouldn’t be a surprise. This is a direct result of bad policies implemented after Covid.
When the number of flights cratered after Covid, airlines gave early retirement packages to the pilots. It was remarkably shortsighted. They left and never came back.
Meanwhile, the number of airline personnel declined even further by the government demanding that they be vaccinated, even after it was clear vaccination did not prevent an individual from spreading Covid.
The same concepts applied to air traffic controllers.
Add into that so many more people working at home and the reduced productivity that comes with it.
It was a recipe for disaster.
