Governor Kathy Hochul went into Defcon One after President Trump cancelled her congestion pricing fiasco.
How ironic that the governor finally showed some verve, but unfortunately, it’s for a policy that a majority of New Yorkers reject.
Where has that outrage and aggressiveness by the governor been in, for instance, trying to get the legislature to revoke the hideous cashless bail policies that have led to countless unnecessary murders?
Too bad we couldn’t see the same outrage and sense of commitment in trying to fight against the large number of severely mentally ill folks wandering the subways and pushing people onto the tracks.
Too bad there’s not been such a commitment to rein in spending rather than having presided over unbelievable increases in spending during her tenure.
Glad to see you finally woke up, Governor. But it would be nice to see you show some passion when it comes to an issue we really care about and where you would be fighting for something we actually want to see get done.
