Donald Trump has every right in the world to chastise the Associated Press for being a biased outlet that often acts as an arm of the Democratic Party. Their articles consistently tilt way to the left. So good for Trump for calling them out.
But, once again, Trump goes too far by banning the AP from White House briefings because they refuse to call the Gulf of Mexico the Gulf of America.
Trump can call the Gulf anything he wants, but doesn’t have the authority to tell other people what they can call it.
President Obama had every right to change the name of Mount McKinley to Mount Denali, even though I believe there was no reason to do so. Trump has the right to change it back to Mount McKinley.
Should a media outlet have been banned from covering a president if they had disagreed with Obama’s change of what the mountain should be called?
There are some mountains to die on. This is not one of them.
