It’s Been Dems, Not Trump, Quashing Free Speech

Democrats constantly talk about Trump as being a threat to democracy, yet, in his four years and six months in the Oval Office, there is no evidence that the free speech of liberals has been curbed.

The mainstream media continues to attack Trump on a daily basis. Yet, no criminal charges have been brought against any of these reporters. Trump is certainly within his right to sue for defamation, as he did against George Stephanopoulos at ABC (where the former Clinton operative inaccurately claimed Trump was convicted of rape) or 60 Minutes, which purposely spliced an interview with Kamala Harris to make her word salad sound more coherent.

On the other hand, Democrats throughout the nation have been on a quest over the last five years (as have the liberal elites in Europe) to shut down political perspectives they simply disagree with on ideological grounds. They do this under the guise of weeding out what they consider to be “disinformation” or “hate speech.”

The latest outrage was from Democrats in the state of Maine, who, unbelievably, had refused to allow a Republican senator speak on the floor or to vote on measures because she spoke out against biological males playing in women’s sports.

Let’s not forget that President Biden sought to appoint a misinformation czar who would be an arbiter of what was allowed and what was not allowed on social media.

Earlier, we had seen collusion between the FBI and other federal agents under the Biden administration working in conjunction with, and at times even threatening, private social media companies to suppress speech that the FBI didn’t like.

That included conservative claims that Covid started in a lab.

Or that the vaccines did not prevent getting Covid or transmitting to others.

Or that the Hunter Biden laptop was real.

All things that were later proven correct.

A federal judge called the actions by the federal government in the Biden administration “the most massive attack against free speech in United States’ history.”

Now that’s what we call real authoritarianism!
