ICE Riots in Minneapolis Less about Immigration, More about Marxism

By Steve Levy

The leaders of the Democratic Party are promoting the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) protests and the disruption of federal enforcement because they truly want as many illegal aliens to remain in this country as possible. They represent a future voting bloc for the Democrats, as well as bodies that will be counted in the next census to protect Democratic seats.

They didn’t work so hard to bring in over 10 million illegal immigrants only to have Trump turn around and send them home. So they’ll fight tooth and nail to prevent any deportation, even for hardened criminals.

But that doesn’t mean that the average protester on the streets is there for the purpose of protecting immigrants. They are far more concerned with simply generating chaos with the goal of bringing down the capitalist American system, which they so despise. These are the same professional protestors (often paid for) you would have seen at Occupy Wall Street, the pro-Hamas terrorist protests of 2023 or a Black Lives Matter protest after George Floyd’s murder.

It is an intersection of various hate-America groups, from Antifa to the anti-Western Islamists to the Marxists.

The groups are increasingly supported through the donations of anti-American sources, such as billionaire George Soros and moguls with ties to the Chinese Communist Party.

Islamists within the pro-Hamas movement have very little in common with atheist Marxists or radical LGBT groups. The one thing they all have in common, though, is their disdain for Western civilization. And as the saying goes, the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Thus, leftists in socialist and communist organizations will join with religious zealots in the Palestinian movement, knowing that any gay Marxist holding hands with his or her partner in parts of the Muslim world would be jailed or put to death.

What is being played out in Minneapolis, Portland, Seattle, and beyond are the rules laid out by Marxist agitator Saul Alinsky, whose book, Rules for Radicals, set the stage for the revolutionary, violent protests in the 1960s.

Alinsky’s rules are being adopted and implemented by the organizers of ICE Watch, the group that trains people — who range from radicals to soccer moms — on the art of tracking, harassing and blocking ICE officers.

Alinsky believed that the only way to install a socialist, Marxist utopia in America was to overthrow its constitution and free markets through violence and confrontation.

He adopted an “ends justify the means” modus operandi. Lying, cheating, stealing, bombing, and assaulting were all on the table.

The idea was to constantly be in the face of the establishment political opposition. The opposition is to be demonized and categorized as the next Hitler, which would give justification to attack them by any means necessary.

Disruption, agitation, confrontation, and destruction were all part of the game plan. Attack, attack, attack until the opposition backs down. Call your opposition all kinds of horrible names so that they will self-censor.

That’s exactly what we’re seeing in Minneapolis.

While those trained in the 60s were radicals in the Weather Underground and Black Panthers, those being trained today are often upper-middle-class college-educated folks of privilege like Desiree Good.

What’s also different today is that the radicals are now embedded within the Democratic Party, while in the 60s, the Black Panthers or Weather Underground wouldn’t think about associating with either major political party. The Democrats and the radicals today are so intertwined that the Lieutenant Governor of Minnesota actually encouraged the radicals to place their bodies on the line in their combat against ICE officials.

They are now doing the work of the Marxists to undermine the nation from within. These are the folks that the Soviets used to call “useful idiots.”  Meanwhile, Minneapolis’ Democratic mayor, Jacob Frey, came close to crossing the line of insurrection when he said that his city had no obligation to obey federal law, if it is being enforced by people with whom they do not share the same values.

That’s why these tactics and protests must be taken so seriously. We cannot allow our ICE agents to back down. When Alinsky’s rules are put into practice and actually start working against our law enforcement personnel, we are doomed as a civil society that embodies Western values.

The bottom line is this: Know your enemy or they will destroy you.
