Did Obama Attempt a Coup against Trump?

A report just issued by the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard, a former Democratic congresswoman, concludes that former President Barack Obama and his team manufactured intelligence to embellish the 2016 Russian election interference narrative.

The report states that the actions of Obama and his team amounted to nothing less than an attempted “coup” against the incoming 45th president.

Significant attention has been placed on the now-debunked Steele dossier, but very little light was placed upon a fateful meeting hosted by President Obama with anti-Trump deep staters, including former DNI James Clapper, former CIA Director John Brennan, operative Susan Rice, and FBI Deputy Andrew McCabe.

Brennan is already under investigation for what some believe was his perjurous testimony before Congress where he testified that the dossier, known to be unverified by the intelligence community, was not used as a basis of their investigations and court applications regarding Trump. It was later discovered through emails, however, that Brennan admitted the bogus dossier was indeed used as a predicate to spy on Trump.

Gabbard’s report notes that prior to the election, the intelligence community assessed that Russia was “probably not trying … to influence the election by using cyber means.”

Yet after the election, Gabbard alleged that Obama officials leaked false statements to The Washington Post claiming that “Russia has attempted through cyber means to interfere in, if not actively influence, the outcome of an election.”

How ironic that Obama, who continuously boasts that he never had a scandal in his administration, may be the perpetrator of one of the greatest scandals in United States history.

For some reason, mountains of exculpatory evidence that accumulated in favor of Trump in the FBI investigations never made the light of day. In fact, an internal intelligence memo slated to be published on December 8, 2016, which definitively claimed that there was scant evidence of Russia seeking to help Trump in the 2016 election through cyber means, was deliberately buried by the Obama administration. These daily presidential briefings are prepared by administration underlings and presented to not only the president, but also to the president-elect, meaning Trump.

Obama, Brennan and the rest of that motley crew realized that, if they allowed this prepared briefing to be distributed, Trump would now know with written certainty that the claims of Russian hacking on his behalf were bogus.

Obama and his anti-Trump minions could not allow that because it would interfere with the narrative they preferred. That narrative was embellished by a December 9, 2016 memo from Obama directing the intelligence agencies to not only disregard the exculpatory evidence about Trump, but to actually promote the narrative that Russia was indeed involved in helping get Trump elected.

When Brennan sought to put into the report that there was evidence of Russians favoring Trump his underlings took it out claiming there was no evidence to support it. Nevertheless, Brennan put it back in asserting, “Yes, but it rings true.”

Let’s not forget it was much later in the game that emails from Trump‘s chief FBI operative Peter Strzok surfaced emphatically stating that, as to the Russia hoax, there is “no there there.” Yet Strzok and his paramour Lisa Page facilitated their own coup. The two Trump haters were frightened to death that Trump could actually win. They promised that it would never happen, and if it did, they had an “insurance policy”.

It’s quite obvious the insurance policy was the attempted coup that they sought to pull off through Operation Crossfire Hurricane after Trump was elected.

But it appears that the directive had come from up above. It was Obama, bitten by the Trump-is-Hitler narrative, who believed he and his team had to do anything to stop him. So he ordered his minions to ignore their own internal investigation, suggesting there was no Russia cyber success and instead directed them to craft the narrative promoting the opposite.

That prompted action and a rewriting of history from Obama’s lackey James Clapper, a proven liar who many believe committed perjury to Congress by falsely telling them that the intelligence agencies were not monitoring the phone calls of innocent Americans.

It led to a hampering of Trump’s first two years, the waste of millions of dollars and the fractionalization of the American public. It led to half of the country inaccurately believing that Trump colluded with Russia that over 60% of Democrats claimed to believe that the Russians had altered vote tallies.

Once Obama and his team apparently concluded that Trump must be stopped by any means possible, it led to an FBI agent fabricating information before a FISA  court in order to get a warrant to spy upon the Trump campaign through Carter Page, who was considered to be a Trump ally. The attorney falsely claimed that Page was not a U.S. government asset when, in fact, he was. This was known by the agent who deliberately changed these important facts knowing that the truth would erode his ability to get the warrant to spy on Trump’s advisor.

Another egregious action employed by Obama and his circle was the meeting that included Vice President Joe Biden, James Comey, and Sally Yates of the DOJ. It was at this meeting that Obama agreed, at Biden’s urging, that General Michael Flynn be investigated for allegedly violating the almost never enforced, and almost certainly unconstitutional, Logan Act. This is the act that prohibits non-administration officials from engaging in foreign policy.

But Flynn wasn’t some obscure non-official. He was the incoming president’s choice for national security director, and, therefore, had every reason to be meeting with foreign leaders. It’s done by almost all other administrations. Interesting that Flynn was framed for this while former Secretary of State John Kerry was sitting in and negotiating with Iranians well after his term expired without any repercussions.

Gabbard terms the Obama team’s actions as a “coup” attempt against Trump. It’s hard to disagree with that categorization.

It’s one thing if conspiracy theorists wanted to go on TV and claim that the Russians were pulling the strings on Trump and had been a force in helping him get elected. However, it’s a far different thing when then-President Obama hid evidence that debunked the Russian hack theory and then gave an order for his minions to write a report that says exactly the opposite.

Now we know through Gabbard’s report that the Obama administration was engaged in an orchestrated attempt to mislead about Russian influence over the election in order to get Trump ripe for impeachment.

Obama might want to tamp down on his claims of a scandal-free administration.
