Dems Are Petrified Trump’s Crime-Fighting Agenda Will Succeed

The fascinating thing about Donald Trump‘s presidency is that he does not feel restrained from putting into effect any commonsense idea that comes into his mind.

Now granted, sometimes he needs a filter and a check and balance from experienced lawmakers and officials who could buffer some of the more hasty actions he would otherwise take. But, just as often, it is refreshing to see a leader who will not be bound by a deep state and is willing to take chances to weed out inefficiencies, regardless of the political blowback, simply because it’s the right thing to do.

Take, for example, Trump’s move to take control of Washington, D.C. law enforcement, given that D.C. has become the murder capital of the USA. Many conservative leaders will whine and complain about the horrific policies of the progressive mayor in D.C. who caused these murder rates to soar. Trump, however, has shown a willingness to take action, given the fact that the federal government does have the ability to intervene with a territory, such as D.C., where it wouldn’t be able to do so in Philadelphia or Compton.

What’s wrong with a leader saying, “Enough is enough! We’re going to end the practice of having 17-year-old murderers sent to Family Court and then back on the street with a mere slap on the wrist”?

Democrats have to be worried that if Trump is successful in significantly lowering the crime rate. He will have exposed the Democrats as being incapable of fighting crime, the same way they proved unable to control the border.

It will be clearer than ever that crime-ridden cities are not inevitable. It is a choice we make when we elect progressives to run our cities. We could easily get rid of it if we just stopped electing the soft-on-crime liberals and put conservatives in their place. As Trump said with the border crisis, “We didn’t need new legislation; we just needed a more conservative president.”

Trump also sees the insidious impact of sanctuary cities and questions how this seemingly illegal concept has been allowed to flourish over the years. Why hasn’t anyone challenged the legality of local governments saying that they will hide information from the federal government trying to remove criminal illegal aliens? The DOJ is thankfully finally initiating litigation to invalidate these sanctuary cities.

Yet another example of Trump pursuing common sense with action is his aggressive battle against the college administrators and faculty who support, and even encourage, Hamas sympathizers to illegally harass Jewish students and shut down campuses.

He just doesn’t shout them down at the podium. He used the power of the purse to force them to take action to protect their students.

Sure, he gets backlash from the legacy media and the education establishment, but who cares? They’re in the corner of Hamas sympathizers.

It’s about time we have a leader who says we’re not going to tolerate this the same way we wouldn’t tolerate a bunch of white skinheads harassing black students on a campus.

Yes, Trump will often take on battles that are unnecessary distractions (see the proposed annexation of Canada and Greenland), but it is refreshing to have a leader who’s willing to stick up for common sense from time to time.
