Biden Administration Deserves Credit for Challenging Apple

We’ve been big critics of the Biden administration, from its horrific immigration policies to foreign policy weakness to uncontrolled spending that has sparked debilitating inflation.

But good policy initiatives have to be acknowledged.

Biden’s Justice Department is going after Apple Corp. for its monopolistic tendencies. Once on an Apple product, it’s very hard to have any compatibility with a competitor.

President Theodore Roosevelt is revered as a great American leader for taking on the monopolies of his era.

President Bill Clinton had the courage to take on Microsoft in the late 90s.

And now Apple‘s actions are under scrutiny. That’s good. Competition is what makes America thrive.

Biden deserves credit because it’s not easy to go after these huge corporations in today’s political climate. They have enormous funds that can be thrown back at a politician in retaliation.

Next in line should be the social media companies, including Google, that have a stranglehold on how information is distributed to the public. These companies are far more akin to utilities than they are to the average corporation in the marketplace.

They should be regulated or broken up so a real competition can thrive. Let’s hope for the latter.
