A word of caution to those Americans who want to preserve the values and opportunities that were once the cornerstone of the greatest nation that ever existed.
We are on the verge of fundamentally weakening our country, and at the core of it is a conglomerate of leftist lawmakers, the radical not-for-profit agencies that they fund with taxpayer dollars, and a liberal-leaning press and judiciary that protects them, all in the effort to normalize illegal immigration and to thwart any rational efforts to enforce our immigration laws.
The consequences of this unbridled, unlawful immigration are enormous.
Immigrants who came to this country in a different era had to be sponsored by those who would support them or they would have to support themselves. Going on welfare or getting subsidized healthcare was never a consideration.
Today, in some circles, aliens, both legal and illegal, are on the public dole to a greater extent than even average Americans.
Illegal aliens are now granted driver’s licenses (both residential and commercial) and professional licenses. They are given entry into police forces, are becoming school administrators, and are even serving in some local elective bodies. Illegal aliens in many states are now receiving not only admission to state universities, but also getting their education paid for.
JOBS AND WAGES
Meanwhile, the massive influx of a new, cheaper labor force has applied enormous pressure on the downward spiral on wages paid to American-born workers.
Under the Biden administration, job growth was primarily in the public sector, but where jobs were created privately, the majority were filled by those here illegally.
It certainly is a contributing factor to young native-born American males feeling that they are experiencing less economic opportunity and mobility.
CRIME
The impact on crime cannot be overlooked. While most immigrants, legal or illegal, come to this nation with the hope of improving their economic lot through hard work, there are still a large number of such individuals who are committing crimes, beyond violating our laws, crossing the border.
For years, the liberal media and their cohorts spewed the false talking point that immigrants commit fewer crimes than native-born Americans. They cleverly fail to distinguish legal from illegal aliens. The illegal alien crime rate is suppressed by averaging in the far lower numbers of legal aliens.
Studies show that the illegal aliens are committing crimes at a far greater rate than average Americans. (The actual number is greatly underreported because most sanctuary cities do not even permit law enforcement personnel to categorize criminals by their alien status.) But even if that were not the case, the point is that any crime committed by an illegal alien is a crime that would not have occurred, had our immigration laws been enforced.
What’s so mind-boggling is that the ruling class that is elected to protect us has purposely been working against the interests of the American people by using all tools at their disposal to keep these hardened criminals within our communities. How else can one explain the concept of a sanctuary city?
ALL ABOUT VOTES AND POWER
Historians will look back 100 years from now, baffled as to how the people we elected to protect us did everything they could to keep within our midst those who want to harm our women and children.
The answer will be quite apparent. The prime concern of the Left in the illegal immigration matter revolves around its quest to maximize money and power.
Keenly aware that the average American does not support their radical ideas, their goal was to import a new set of residents who would vote their way as a payback for the Left’s efforts to bring them into our country illegally and allow them to stay.
This is the only rational explanation that can be applied to Joe Biden‘s policies that opened the door wide open to anyone around the world to come to our country and enjoy free transportation, phones, food, education, shelter and healthcare.
The short-term expense was of no concern to the Democrats, since they concluded we can always incur more debt that could be heaped on our future generations. They rightly assumed that the younger generation would not tie the illegal immigration mess created by the left to the short-term and long-term pain it extracts upon generations, young and old.
Democrats understood that they were losing electorally because of their far-left policies that led fed-up blue state voters to flee liberal enclaves to more affordable red states. That meant the possible dramatic loss of Democratic congressional seats from the blue states.
The answer was simple: Just import as many people as you can and ship them to the blue cities and states. A deplorable decision by the John Roberts Supreme Court held that the census must include the counting of all people, legal and illegal.
This is a tragic interpretation of the Constitution that must be overturned. Anyway, it’s been working for the Democrats, which is why they not only fought so diligently to get the illegal aliens here, but they are fighting twice as hard to do anything they can to obfuscate the deporting of any illegal alien, including the most heinous among us.
GUMMING UP THE WORKS
Examine for a moment the incredible lengths to which the Democrats went to keep in our country a known wife beater, gang member and migrant trafficker, Kilmar Abrego Garcia.
Despite the fact that Garcia was found by a court to have been here illegally and was ordered to be deported, the Left and its non-profit agencies from the ACLU and beyond, have transformed this illegal trafficker into one of their folk heroes.
The conglomerate is emboldened by a slew of left-wing judges who were appointed during the Obama and Biden years and do the bidding of the illegal immigration lobby.
THE ILLEGAL ALIEN CONGLOMERATE
They manipulate and distort the concept of due process to mean that the suspected illegal alien not only will have the opportunity to try to prove he is here legally, but will also be allowed to go free after being apprehended until a court date can be arranged years down the road. By then, they figured the individual would’ve been absorbed into the community for the next few years or granted amnesty when Democrats regain power.
The media has now jumped on the bandwagon in concluding that people who came here illegally, but did not commit further crimes, should be absolved of any threat of deportation. But doing so sends the awful message that we are indeed an open border, which will only serve to encourage more people from around the world to come here.
When they believe that once they’ve crossed, they can stay here forever unless they rape or murder someone, why would anyone wait on line for five years to try to come in here the correct way?
THE LEFT IS WINNING
But alas, it looks like the propaganda spewed out by the Democrats, the not-for-profits, and their allies in the media and the judiciary is working.
While the majority of Americans say they approve of President Trump‘s closing of the border, they are opposed to his efforts to deport those who are here and haven’t committed a subsequent crime. Those answering in such a way are naïvely placing the nails in their own coffins.
OUR GRANDCHILDREN WILL SUFFER
While many of these folks have made it, their children and grandchildren have not. The idea of obtaining affordable healthcare, good jobs, high wages, and a sound Social Security system will be much harder to attain for our native and legal sons and daughters.
Already, the chance of experiencing the American dream of homeownership has been dramatically diminished in part because of the competition with those here illegally to occupy scarce housing. Huge increases in rent in various cities around the country corresponded almost exactly with Biden‘s open border policy.
Healthcare premiums are going through the roof, not because of the possible expiration of the supercharged Obamacare subsidies put in place a few years ago by Democrats, but more so because our system is overloaded with no-pays. These people who were getting free healthcare in our emergency rooms — a great percentage of whom are illegal aliens — are being subsidized by Americans who pay healthcare premiums.
Consequently, these premiums were going to rise, whether or not the Obamacare subsidy stayed in place. It’s in large part because of the illegal aliens flooding our emergency rooms and getting onto the state-run healthcare policies. Unfortunately, millions of Americans fail to make the connection.
DELAY, DELAY, DELAY
The Trump administration has been working around the clock to try to remove the millions and millions of illegal aliens that were ushered in by Joe Biden under false pretenses. Despite their best efforts, they’ve only been able to remove less than half a million of those here illegally. Tens of millions more still remain in our midst. At this rate, many of the aliens who came here illegally years ago will be dead of natural causes by the time the government gets around to checking their status.
But that’s the goal of the Left and their not-for-profit groups that are now paid for by the taxpayers. They do everything they can to gum up the works, even when it comes to the most hardened criminals. They figure if they can make it this tough to deport a murderer, imagine how difficult it will be to deport the bagel store owner who came here legally, but stayed out of trouble for years since.
LESS AND LESS ASSIMILATION
As noted earlier, immigrants in the past came here knowing they have to make it on their own without government assistance, or with a sponsor. There was also an expectation of assimilation. But the concept is increasingly becoming a thing of the past. Enclaves such as the Somali community in Minnesota have been popping up around the country. A Muslim group is looking to create their own city within Texas. How long will it be before there will be a quest to create cities following their own Sharia law, as we see throughout Europe, with their “no go” zones — areas where British police are hesitant to enter for fear of offending the culture of the new immigrants?
Of more concern is that some of these enclaves are becoming political powerhouses that outpunch their weight. In swing states such as Michigan, a relatively small yet united population of immigrants can indeed sway an election. Consequently, Democrats pander to these groups incessantly. And that can dramatically and suddenly alter national policy for the worse, as we saw in the pro-Hamas protests after the October 7th Israeli massacre, and in the “see no evil, hear no evil” response of Democratic officials in Minnesota to the billions of dollars stolen from the Medicaid system from the daycare system, pilot our national policy.
The thing that made America great is that people from all these different tribes, while remaining proud of their heritage, always strived to think of themselves as Americans first when they arrived on our shores. Not so much today.
If we continue down this path, this era will very likely be seen as the period where America committed to its own downfall from within.
