It seems just a couple of years ago that our nation and much of the world were headed toward an irreversible level of woke craziness in our culture and sports world, where men were going to be allowed in women’s sports, in women’s locker rooms and bathrooms, and even in women’s prisons.
But in a marvelous self-correction and a victory for common sense, the International Olympic Committee voted to ban men from women’s sports.
Hundreds of women have been booted off the medal stands or subjected to unnecessary injury because of a lunatic policy that suggested there is no biological difference between men and women that would set them apart in sports.
The woke craziness got so out of hand that even the brilliant physicist Neil deGrasse Tyson stumbled with his words and couldn’t admit that there was an inherent genetic advantage in strength and speed possessed by males.
It’s understandable why some were cowed into taking these politically correct positions. The woke mob was very effective in canceling people who were continuing to insist that two plus tow equals four, rather than five. Unfortunately, the crazies were bolstered by the far-left media that effectively shamed traditional Americans speaking out for common sense.
Perhaps the tide has turned. A century from now, historians will look back and ask how these crazy people got elevated into positions of power.
Hopefully, it was just an irrational blip in time and common sense has returned for the long haul.
