On January 12, Steve Cole-Hatchard, Project Director, New York Transco LLC, will be the guest speaker at LIMBA (Long Island Metro Business Action). This event will take place at the Candlelight Diner, located at 56 Veterans Memorial Highway in Commack, starting at 8:30 a.m. The topic will be “Building a Robust Electric Transmission System.”
Mr. Cole-Hatchard oversees all project development activities associated with the Propel New York Energy Project, a transformative electric transmission project in parts of Nassau and Suffolk Counties, New York City and Westchester County, that will bolster reliability and resiliency. Prior to serving as Project Director, he was Senior Project Manager for the Rock Tavern to Sugarloaf Project. This was an electric transmission project in Orange County and under Mr. Cole-Hatchard’s management, was permitted in less than a year, built and put into service six months ahead of schedule.
He first started his career at Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Inc. and held many roles including Operating Supervisor for gas operations and Chief Construction Inspector in substation and transmission construction. As Project Director, Mr. Cole-Hatchard’s expertise is centered around management, permitting, and construction of underground and overhead electric transmission lines and substations in congested urban and suburban areas.
In addition to his professional expertise and achievements, Mr. Cole-Hatchard holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Manhattan College and a Master of Business Administration with specializations in Corporate Finance, Management, and Real Estate from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
