The Long Island Association (LIA) is hosting its annual “What’s New in Washington” event on March 28, which will feature guest panelists and Long Island members of Congress Nick LaLota (R-Rocky Point), Andrew Garbarino (R-Patchogue), Tom Suozzi (D-Glen Cove) and Laura Gillen (D-Garden City). The event will take place at the Crest Hollow Country Club, located at 8325 Jericho Turnpike, Woodbury, starting at 9 a.m.

At “What’s New in Washington” LIA President & CEO Matt Cohen moderates a conversation about the federal issues impacting our region with Long Island members of Congress.

Last year’s guest was Don Graves, the Deputy Secretary of the United States Department of Commerce, spoke about how the Department urges economic competition, encourages innovation, and spurs the increase of quality jobs in all communities in the country, according to the Long Island Association website.

The LIA is the region’s leading non-profit and non-partisan business organization and amplifies the voice of the business community.
