Town of East Hampton to Participate in Toys for Tots

The Town of East Hampton recently announced its partnership with Toys for Tots. The town will serve as an official collection site for new, unwrapped toys, with donations benefiting children and families in need. The East Hampton Town Police Benevolent Association (PBA), Superior Officers Association (SOA), Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA), and the Department Heads Association have teamed up with the town to support this important cause.

Starting on November 18, residents and visitors are encouraged to drop off new, unwrapped toys at the following collection locations Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.:

  • East Hampton Town Hall, 159 Pantigo Road, East Hampton
  • Montauk Police Precinct, 52 South Embassy Street, Montauk

Toys for children of all ages are needed, from infants to teens, with a special focus on gifts for older children and teenagers. The collection will run until December 12, giving residents ample time to contribute to the cause.

“We are excited to partner with Toys for Tots and our local unions and employee-led organizations like the PBA, SOA, CSEA, and the Department Heads Association to help ensure that every child in East Hampton has the chance to experience the joy of the holiday season,” said Town Supervisor Kathee Burke-Gonzalez. “This is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together and make a difference in the lives of families during this special time of the year.”

East Hampton Town SOA President Dan Toia and East Hampton Town Police Benevolent Association President Joseph Izzo said, “The East Hampton Town Superior Officers Association and Police Benevolent Association are honored to partner with the Town and other town staff to collect toys for the 2024 Toys for Tots toy drive.  As always, we are committed to assisting the citizens and youth of our community and ask you to please consider joining us by donating a new toy to be given to a local family in need.”

“As members of the Civil Service Employees Association, we are proud to stand alongside our fellow unions and the Town of East Hampton in supporting the Toys for Tots drive. By coming together, we can ensure that every child experiences the joy and warmth of the holiday season. We encourage all residents to participate and make this season brighter for families across East Hampton.”, said East Hampton Town CSEA President James Bennett.

Jeanne Carroza, president of the East Hampton Town Department Heads Association said, “The East Hampton Town Department Heads Association is proud to be part of this meaningful effort. This initiative not only brings joy to children in need, but it also reflects the dedication of our town’s leadership and employees to the well-being of our community. By working together, we can ensure that every child in East Hampton feels the warmth and hope of the holiday season. I encourage everyone to participate and help make this holiday season brighter for local families.”
