
Island Harvest Food Bank’s Summer Food Service Program will again be delivering food to children who do not have access to school feeding programs due to the summer recess.
Island Harvest, administered by the Food and Nutrition Service, an agency of the USDA, is a crucial lifeline for food-insecure children during the summer months. They will provide a diverse combination of breakfasts, lunches, and snacks, Monday through Friday, to programs operated by municipal agencies, summer and day camps, community centers, libraries, churches, and community-based organizations across Long Island. The program, running from June 30 to August 29, is expected to serve over 110,000 meals to approximately 1,600 children and teenagers at the 26 sites across Long Island listed below:

The Summer Food Service Program is committed to providing meals and snacks, at no charge, to children 18 years old and younger without any form of discrimination.
