Nassau County Legislature Alternate Deputy Minority Leader Debra Mulé (D-Freeport) attended the inaugural installation dinner of the Environmental Rotaract of Nassau County Long Island (ERNCLI) in Rockville Centre on July 14. This is an extension of the Freeport-Merrick Rotary Club.

The Freeport-Merrick Rotary Club, chartered in 1943, aims to better its community and environment through projects and movements while collaborating and contributing to numerous non-profits in the area.

“Climate change and its impacts are a growing threat to communities around the world – and the hazards are especially great for coastal communities like Freeport and Merrick,” said Mulé. “ I am glad that I could be a part of this club’s launch, and I wish its board and members all the best as they pursue their vital public service mission.
