A woman was hospitalized after suffering a medical episode during a triathlon in Point Lookout.
On September 6 at 8:18 a.m., Nassau County Fourth Precinct officers responded to Point Lookout Town Park, located at 1300 Lido Boulevard, for an Aided case. Upon arrival, it was determined a 66-year-old female was participating in the Point Lookout Triathlon when she had a medical emergency while in the water.
Town of Hempstead lifeguards performed CPR on the woman. She was transported by a Point Lookout Fire Department Ambulance to a local hospital, where she is currently in critical condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
