
Nassau County police are still investigating a house fire that happened in Westbury.
On April 13 at 8:30 a.m., officers responded to a house fire on Evergreen Drive. Upon arrival, they observed that the residence was fully engulfed in flames. The Westbury Fire Department responded with the assistance of multiple surrounding fire departments to extinguish the flames. The home sustained extensive damage due to the fire.
The Red Cross was notified and responded to offer assistance to the displaced residents. No injuries were reported at the scene. The Nassau County Fire Marshal and Arson Bomb Squad also responded to the scene.
The fire has been deemed not suspicious at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
