Town to Hold Open House for Waterfront Management Plan

(Town of Brookhaven) The Town of Brookhaven will hold a public open house on the North Shore Waterfront Management Plan.

The Town of Brookhaven is inviting residents to the first Public Open House for the North Shore Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP), scheduled for October 29 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Harbors and Waterways, located at 130 W Broadway in Port Jefferson.

This Open House offers an opportunity for community members to learn more about the LWRP, ask questions, and share ideas that will help shape the future of Brookhaven’s North Shore waterfront. The event will feature interactive stations and is open to residents of all ages.

In addition to the Open House, the Town has launched a short, anonymous Waterfront Survey to better understand how the community engages with the waterfront and to gather input on future priorities. Feedback from the survey will directly inform the development of the LWRP.

We encourage everyone to attend the Open House and participate in the survey,” said Town Supervisor Dan Panico, “Your voice is essential in creating a waterfront that reflects the needs and aspirations of our community.”
