Nassau County police made a gruesome discovery at a construction site in Woodury when someone called 911 to say they found the skeletal remains of an unidentified person at 92 Fairhaven Boulevard. Police would not say what was at that location, but, according to a Google Maps search, the location is the site of Eagle Rock Apartments.
According to detectives, officers received a 911 call for possible human remains at the construction site located on June 10 at 3:59 p.m. Upon officers’ arrival they noticed skeletal remains while digging into the ground. The Second Squad and the Medical Examiner responded to the scene. The remains were removed from scene and brought to the Medical Examiner’s office for further examination.
The investigation is ongoing, according to the NCPD. Long Island Life & Politics reached out to Nassau police to see if there was any foul play involved, or if this was connected to previous discoveries. Detective Richard LeBrun replied via email, “Nothing further at this time.”
LILP also made repeated calls to Eagle Rock Apartments, but did not call back as of press time.
Detectives are requesting anyone with information regarding the above listed incident to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS or call 911. All callers will remain anonymous.
