An 85-year-old man has died after being rescued from a house fire in Seaford.
On October 7 at 7 p.m., officers responded to a house fire located on Crescent Cove Drive. Upon arrival, officers observed the second floor of the home engulfed in flames. The Seaford Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire. The residence sustained extensive damage.
An 85-year-old man was removed from the residence and transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation and treatment. He was pronounced dead on October 8 at 12:01 am by a hospital physician. No other injuries were reported.
The Nassau County Fire Marshal and Arson/Bomb Squad Detectives responded to the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
