Romaine Honors Suffolk County Radio Club in Yaphank

Brookhaven Town Supervisor Ed Romaine visited the Suffolk County Radio Club at its Amatueur Radio Field Day at the Longwood Youth Sports Complex in Yaphank on June 24. The club celebrated its 76th anniversary, making it the oldest radio club on Long Island.

Founded in 1947, the Suffolk County Radio Club is dedicated to preserving the past as well as perpetuating the future of amateur radio. The club encourages ham radio innovation and public service and educational opportunities to the radio community.
