The Town of Oyster Bay recently hosted its 2026 Inauguration Ceremony with the swearing-in of Supervisor Joseph Saladino and Councilmen Lou Imbroto, Tom Hand and Andrew Monteleone. The event was held at South Woods Middle School in Syosset.

Former New York State Supreme Court Justice and Town Supervisor Angelo Delligatti served as Master of Ceremonies, and remarks were provided by South Woods Principal Michelle Burget and Nassau County Republican Chairman Joseph G. Cairo. Attendees also enjoyed musical selections from performing artists Tammi Wolfartz-Flyntz and Nick Attila, as well as the Syosset High School Adelettes.

“This ceremony is a celebration of service, community and the town we are all so proud to call home. I couldn’t be more honored to lead a town filled with such extraordinary people, and we always remember why we are all here — the incredible residents of the Town of Oyster Bay,” Saladino said.

“Our success is really built on collaboration — everyone from our first responders, local unions and trade groups, school district, chambers of commerce and civic organizations,” he said. “Our guiding principles are simple: protect taxpayers, preserve quality of life, deliver results and represent everyone — from every walk of life. Those principles have delivered real results, thanks to ongoing cooperation and collaboration we have with community stakeholders.”

Throughout the ceremony, the supervisor pointed to projects and improvements made in various communities throughout the town, recognizing local residents and community representatives, as well as partners in government. “Tonight isn’t about celebrating us as officials, it’s about celebrating what we all have achieved together. Together, we’ve tackled challenges. Together, we’ve delivered results. And together, we will achieve even more, much more, in 2026.”
