Suffolk County officers are investigating a house fire in Manorville in which a person died.
On March 18 at about 6:35 a.m., police and firefighters arrived at 434 Village Circle North after a 911 caller reported a fire. After the fire was put out, a person was found deceased in the home.
The victim’s identity will be determined by an autopsy conducted by personnel from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner. The victim was alone inside the residence at the time of the fire, and no one else was hurt.
At this time, officers believe the cause of the fire was not suspicious.
