Levittown’s Good Shepherd Church Hosts Its First-Ever Event Since 2020 Christmas Day Fire
Newton Shows has announced that it is presenting the Fling into Spring Carnival at the Good Shepherd Church for the first time, from Friday to Sunday, April 11-13.
The complete dates and times for the event are as follows:
- Friday, April 11 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
- Saturday, April 12 from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- Sunday, April 13 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
This event will be a special one for the church, as this is the first-ever carnival the church will be hosting since the Christmas Day fire in 2020. After a little more than four years, the church was rebuilt.
“We are very excited to host this event for the first time,” said Mary Carbanaro, Council President, Good Shepherd Church. “We are also so glad to get our church back after the fire.”
She credited Newton for working with the church in getting the proper permits for the event. “Mike is amazing. Whatever he does, he’s a wizard.”
Fling into Spring will feature a variety of rides guaranteed to deliver thrills, chills and excitement to the entire family, including Air Show, Alien Abduction, Super Shot, Tornado, Expo Wheel, Roundup, Super Slide, Teacup and the Wacky Shack.
In addition, there will be a cavalcade of food trucks, including Team Z Zeppoles, Extreme Empanadas, Newton Shows Cotton Candy and Funnel Cakes, Stephanie’s Sausage and Peppers, Authentic Greek Gyros and more.
“For those who enjoy the rides but also want the foodie experience, we have food trucks to satisfy every taste,” Mr. Newton said. “There will be traditional carnival fare, as well as ethnic menu items who are looking for something unique.”
Good Shepherd Church is located at 3434 Hempstead Turnpike in Levittown. Parking and admission are free. Advance tickets, including pay-one-price bracelets, can be purchased at newtonshows.com.
