Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man who was found under a vehicle he was working on in a Bay Shore parking lot.
Stephan Edwards was working on a 2013 Kia Optima, raised on a jack, in the parking lot of 1321 Sunrise Highway, when the vehicle fell on him sometime during the overnight hours between November 6 and November 7.
Police were called on November 7 at approximately 8:55 a.m. and Edwards, 30, of Margate, Florida, was pronounced dead at the scene.
