Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joseph Saladino and the Town Board revealed on March 4 that the Hon. Joseph Colby Golf Course in Woodbury is receiving a significant $5 million upgrade. The enhancement project encompasses the installation of new tee boxes on all 18 holes, along with a comprehensive new irrigation system for the entire course. While the course will be accessible to the public starting April 1, golfers will use temporary tees until early June, coinciding with the completion of the new tee boxes. Despite the ongoing irrigation system overhaul, the course will operate with minimal disruptions, and the Town appreciates golfers’ patience during the improvement phase.
Saladino expressed optimism about the upgrades, stating, “We aim to provide a top-notch experience for all golfers at our course. These enhancements will undeniably elevate the playing experience.”
