On August 30 at 3:48 a.m., Nassau County police officers responded to a house fire at McKinley Place in Massapequa. Upon arrival, officers observed the upper level of the home fully engulfed in flames.
The Massapequa Fire Department responded to the scene and extinguished the fire. The Nassau County Fire Marshal and Arson Bomb Squad also responded. The Red Cross was notified to offer assistance to the displaced residents. No injuries were reported.
The fire has been deemed not suspicious at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
