Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a body found in a vehicle in Hauppauge.
On October 16, Suffolk County Police Highway Patrol officers responded to a parked vehicle on the shoulder of eastbound Long Island Expressway near Route 111 at approximately 1:15 p.m. They discovered a body in the front seat of a 2019 Jeep. Following an investigation by Fourth Squad detectives, the body was identified as Luis Gonzalez.
Gonzalez, 62, who was undomiciled, was taken to the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
