A Brentwood man was seriously injured while using fireworks at his home.
Barry Nelson was in the yard of his residence, located at 71 Eastern Ave., when a firework exploded, severing his left hand and three fingers of his right hand on June 29 at approximately 9 p.m.
Nelson, 66, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital in serious condition.
Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are asking anyone with information on the incident to contact the Third Squad at 631-854-8352.
