Fire Strikes Hicksville House

Nassau County police officers responded to a fire that broke out a house in Hicksville.

On August 4 at 5:50 p.m., officers arrived at 214 Spindle Road and observed a house on fire with all of the occupants safely outside of the home. The Hicksville Fire Department arrived and extinguished the fire. The home sustained extensive damage, but no injuries were reported. Four people were displaced due to the damage.

The Nassau County Fire Marshal and the Arson Bomb Squad were on scene to investigate. The fire appears to be accidental.
