A fire broke out at a store in Oceanside.
On October 18 at 5:41 p.m., Nassau County police officers responded to AAA Vacuum, located at 3344 Long Beach Road. Upon arrival, they observed a heavy smoke condition and flames emanating from the building. The Oceanside Fire Department and neighboring fire departments responded to extinguish the flames. Three adjoining business units suffered smoke and water damage.
The Nassau County Fire Marshal, the Arson Bomb Squad and the Town of Hempstead Building Department also responded to the scene. No injuries were reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
