Police are investigating a house fire that occurred in Lakeview.
On October 20 at 12:57 p.m., Nassau County Fifth Precinct officers responded to a residential house fire on Rhodes Lane. The Lakeview Fire Department responded and extinguished the flames. The house sustained extensive damage.
Prior to police arrival, three adults ages 46, 26, 19 and a 6-year-old child drove themselves to a local hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation and minor injuries. A Nassau County Police Department Ambulance transported the homeowner, age 72, to a local hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation. The Nassau County Fire Marshall and the Arson Bomb Squad responded to the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
