Members of the police and fire departments reported to a house fire that happened in East Rockaway.
Nassau County officers responded to Atlantic Avenue for a house fire that occurred on September 15 at 8:30 p.m. Upon arrival, police noted that all occupants of the home were safely outside of the residence. The East Rockaway Fire Department responded to the scene and extinguished the fire.
The Nassau County Fire Marshal and Arson Bomb Squad also responded. A male resident, 62, suffered from smoke inhalation and was transported to a local area hospital.
No further injuries were reported.
