A 7-year-old boy was pronounced dead after being found in a swimming pool in East Meadow.
According to detectives, officers responded to a residence on 2nd Avenue on July 4 at 3:55 p.m. for a 7-year-old male child who was not breathing from an apparent drowning accident in a swimming pool. When officers arrived, he was already removed from the pool and CPR was being administered. The child was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The investigation is ongoing.
