The Congregational Church of Huntington has begun installation of its new
Innovative/Alternative Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems ( I/A OWTS), with the
assistance of a Suffolk County grant.
Last year, Rev. Mark Bigelow asked for the assistance of Suffolk County Legislator Stephanie
Bontempi when he sent an application to the Suffolk County WQPRP (Water Quality
Protection and Restoration Program) to replace the church’s outdated I/A Septic Treatment
System. The new systems will significantly contribute to the environmental sustainability of
the community, the church and Noah’s Ark Nursery School.
