
The Regeneron Science Talent Search has chosen to honor 16 North Hempstead students for their extraordinary projects this year.
On April 1, Supervisor Jennifer DeSena joined the North Hempstead Town Board in celebration of hosting the high school seniors who were recognized as winners of the competition. The Regeneron is the country’s oldest and most prestigious high school science research competition. It is meant to empower “our nation’s most promising young scientists who are developing ideas that could solve society’s most urgent challenges.”
The following winners included:

- Caitlin Lee (Herricks High School)
- Sandeep Sawhney (Herricks High School)
