Nassau County police are trying to identify the person who submitted a message to the suicide hotline that bombs were placed around a Catholic school in Uniondale.
A message was sent on September 10 at 7:12 a.m. by an anonymous person through the chat message system of 988 Lifeline, a suicide and crisis hotline, that bombs had been placed around Kellenberg Memorial High School, located at 1400 Glenn Curtiss Boulevard.
Officers responded to the scene and held students and faculty outside of the school prior to the beginning of classes. After a search was conducted, no bombs were found and the school was reopened to students and faculty. Homeland Security responded to scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
