Woman in Body Parts Case Arrested Again

By Hank Russell

One of the women arrested for the concealment of a corpse was picked up by police again — this time for shoplifting.

According to the Suffolk County Police Department, Amanda Wallace, 40, was charged with petit larceny on March 15 for stealing beauty products from a Lindenhurst CVS, located at 20 East Montauk Highway.

At approximately 10:50 p.m., an employee called police, who arrested Wallace a short time later, according to the SCPD.

No other information was given.

According to various news sources, Wallace, 40, of 25 Railroad Avenue in Amityville, was wearing her court-appointed ankle monitor while at the pharmacy. She admitted to police that she took eyelashes and nail polish. She also claimed that she forgot to bring money with her and “really didn’t feel like walking back over” to get the money.

Wallace was brought to court on March 18. Bail was set at $5,000, according to news sources.

As previously reported by Long Island Life & Politics, Wallace was arrested on March 6 with three other people on charges of hindering prosecution, tampering with physical evidence and concealment of a human corpse after Suffolk and New York State police found the remains of a 59-year-old woman, identified as Donna R. Conneely, and a 53-year-old man who has yet to be identified.

On March 6, all four were arraigned. However, since the offenses were not considered bail-eligible, they were released, but had to wear ankle monitors.

Long Island Life & Politics attempted to reach out to Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney’s office for comment, but did not hear back as of press time.
