Suffolk County police have made an arrest following a raid at a massage parlor in Huntington Station.
On Monday, March 4, at approximately 3 p.m., in response to a wave of community complaints about the establishment, police raided Body Works Spa, located at 918 E. Jericho Turnpike. The raid — which was a coordinated effort involving officers from the Suffolk County Police Second Precinct Crime Section, the Town of Huntington Fire Marshal, and the Building Department — culminated in the arrest of Guimin Zhang, 57, of Flushing.
Zhang faces serious charges, including two felony counts of unauthorized practice of a profession, two misdemeanor counts of prostitution and one misdemeanor count of second-degree criminal nuisance. In addition to the criminal charges, the Town of Huntington has issued several violations against Body Works Spa.
Zhang was released on a desk appearance ticket. She is scheduled to appear at the First District Court in Central Islip at a later date.
