
A man died of an unknown cause in Island Park near Reynolds Channel.
On April 8, at approximately 11:17 a.m., Nassau County officers responded to a dock located on Railroad Place for a body in the water.
After arriving, the officers found and retrieved the body of an unknown male. The male was pronounced dead at the scene by responding Nassau County Police Paramedics.
The victim is described as a male black or male hispanic, approximately 15-20 years old, 5’4’’ tall and approximately 130 pounds. He was described as wearing a beige t-shirt with black letters and two designs and black cargo joggers with tactical pockets. The shirt read the word “ARCH” in all capital letters.
The investigation is ongoing.
