
A Queens man living in the country illegally was arrested for has been arrested for sex trafficking that occurred in the confines of Nassau County from July 2024 to February 2025.
Nassau County Narcotics/Vice Squad detectives conducted an investigation into possible prostitution occurring at various locations throughout the county. After an extensive investigation, detectives located Jorge J. Ramos, 55, of 2574 42nd Street, Astoria and placed him under arrest without incident.
In conjunction with Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Human Trafficking Task Force it was determined the defendant is an undocumented immigrant.
Ramos was charged with sex trafficking and second- and third-degree promoting prostitution. He is scheduled to be arraigned on February 21 at First District Court in Hempstead.
