Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate two women who stole money during a sleight-of-hand scheme at an East
Northport grocery store.
Two women conducted a Western Union wire transfer for $2,500 at Stop and Shop, located at 3126 East Jericho Turnpike, on March 18 at approximately 5:50 p.m. The women then distracted the employee by asking them multiple times to recount the money, which caused the employee to look away, during which time, the women took back $1,500 from the stack of money.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest.
