Two women were arrested for prostitution in Freeport.
On September 25 at 1:30 p.m., an undercover investigation was conducted at 30 S Ocean Suite. It was determined that prostitution was being conducted at this location. Nassau County Narcotics/Vice Squad Detectives placed Yorgelis Riveros-Sanchez, 29, of 1231 Curran Street, Pennsylvania and Yennyfer Curieux-Merida, 35, 3124 81st, East Elmhurst under arrest without incident.
Curieux-Merida is charged with Unauthorized Practice of a Profession and Prostitution. Riveros-Sanchez is charged with Prostitution. Both defendants were released on an appearance tickets and are scheduled to appear at First District Court in Hempstead on October 15.
Further investigation revealed Riveros-Sanchez is illegally in the United States and is subject to removal proceedings. U.S. Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents took custody of the defendant.
